Description:
Prehnite is a silicate of aluminium and calcium which usually is formed by alteration of silicate rocks. It is rare to find it in well-formed crystals, and usually occurs as in the specimen we show. Although there is knowledge of yellow crystals, it normally occurs in various hues of green. Good specimens are generally cut to make necklaces or small decorative figurines. |
