Description:
It was named after the great US collector and financier J.P. Morgan. This magnificent variety of beryl owes its wonderful colour to the presence of manganese and cesium in its lattice. It is highly appreciated as a gem, and in the USA it is called "pink emerald" as both gems belong to the same family. This specimen shows three parallel morganite crystals leaning on a quartz crystal.
