Description:
These copper formations are the result of a geological process called pseudomorphing whereby an emission of copper filled in empty moulds left in the matrix rock by previous aragonite crystals and taking over its shape. Up to now, they have only been found in this deposit, and they became famous since their discovery in the 1980's. These pieces are very much sought after by collectors. (See also CLD005). |
