Description:
Discovered in Korea and acknowledged as a new species of garnet in 1963 by the International Society of Mineralogy. This is another very rare garnet species which contains vanadium. Its colour is intense green and the crystals are usually microscopic (0.1 to 1.7 mm). For this reason, and although our specimen is unusually large (1.5 mm) we have had to point it out on the matrix. |
