Also known as acmite. It is found in the cracks of magmatic rocks such as granite or syenite. It appears as beautiful prisms or acicular aggregates, and its colour ranges from dark green to greenish black, quite often displaying a good vitreous sheen. Some groups are extraordinarily beautiful, specially those coming from Malawi.
