Description:
It derives its name from the owner (W.T. Coleman) of the mine in Death Valley (California, USA), where it was first found. It is used to extract boron, and its beautiful crystals, very rich in facets, are cut as gems for collections, as its modest hardness (4 to 4.5) don't make it suitable for jewellery.
