Amongst the chrysoberyls there such valuable and important gems as alexandrite and "cat's eye" or cymophane. It is therefore one of the most important gems. An interesting feature of its crystals are the cyclic twins called trillings. THis specimen comes from one of the most famous deposits of Brazil and shows a lovely and unusual greenish hue. |
