The name of this colourless Beryl derives from the place it was discovered: Goshen (USA). The exceptional thing about this particular crystal, other than its astounding size, is its shape. This particular variety of Beryl is more commonly seen as flat crystals, whereas this one has grown into a large prism where the hexagonal shape, typical of all Beryls, is clearly visible.
