Description:
Gypsum was chosen by geologist Friedrich Mohs to represent grade 2 of his famous hardness scale proposed in 1825 and still valid to this day. The low hardness of gypsum does not prevent the formation of beautiful crystals of perfect transparency. They are usually colourless, but sometimes, as in this case, they possess lovely tonalities. |
